In 2021, I stepped off a plane from Haiti with nothing

but dreams and 225 pounds of bad habits.

I was insecure, exhausted, and convinced

I’d always be overweight

For years, I told myself the same story:

“It’s just genetics."

"Haitian food is too good."

"I’ll never be fit.”

But end of 2022 going into 2023, something clicked.

I stopped chasing quick-fix diets

and started building habits that worked with my culture

not against it.

I learned how to eat the foods I love, like rice and plantains,

without guilt… and without falling off track.

Every workout became a promise to myself.

Every small win rebuilt my confidence.

In six months, I lost over 40 pounds,

not by starving, but by learning balance and discipline.

Now, it’s my mission to help other Haitians do the same.
